In addition to over 15 years of pond and waterscape experience, Janet is a licensed Landscape Irrigator in the state of Texas (LI# 9164). She was the 2006 and 2007 President of the Austin Pond Society, and 2005 President of the Austin Koi Club. She has twice been selected as a Koi Person of the Year by the Associated Koi Clubs of America (AKCA). Janet focuses her koi pond designs on water quality and ease of maintenance.

 Eric helped pioneer the technique of spray-on pond liner methodology and provided preparation technique and application training for other installers around the country. He has been instrumental in over 150 successful spray-on liner ponds for Mermaid Waterscapes original ponds and as a subcontractor to other pond builders, builders, and landscape architects around Texas. Eric is also a graduate from the Polyurea Development Association's (PDA) hands-on polyurea applicator class as well as a former member of the PDA Board of Directors.
